Visas
All teams are advised to check in person at the appropriate UAE consulate/embassy for visa requirements. Websites are not always up to date and a personal visit is highly recommended. Different nationalities have different requirements for the UAE. It is always advisable that the parent of the child applies individually for the visa. The onionbag/host school can provide letters to state that the tournament is at a location but has no influence over the immigration policy of a country. It is recommended that you check visa requirements immediately and apply at least 60 days in advance. We are not able to sponsor you for a visa, but will offer any assistance we can.

The Premier Inn hotel can also organise visas for a cost of AED 450 per person, teams should deal directly with the hotel.
Unfortunately at this time they cannot apply for Visas for Syrian or Egyptian nationalities.
When applying to Premier Inn for a visa please ensure you do the following:
- You must tell them it is for an Onionbag Group
- You need to apply at least 14 days prior to arrival but better 28 days before arrival
- You should apply for a tourist visa (30 days stay in the UAE)
- You must supply an authorization letter from the parent’s side allowing the child to travel to Dubai with the school (in Arabic / English).
- You must include a stamped letter (on a letter head paper) from the school stating that the child is travelling to Dubai along with their group, all teachers / childrens names travelling to Dubai with this school must be added to the letter.
- Attach a scanned copy of the passport in a clear legible and coloured passport size.
